The summary includes:

6. States underlined the continuing negative impact of the illicit small arms trade on civilians, including women, children and the elderly. They emphasised the need to integrate a gender perspective into relevant aspects of Programme of Action implementation.

8. Member States mentioned, inter alia, the following as suggested themes for the Second Review Conference:

The Chair’s summary provides us with a good starting point for our participation in the 2012 Review Conference (RevCon) on the PoA, which will take place from 27 August - 7 September 2012.
